Co Star Early Learning Centre is a privately owned provider of Early Childhood Education in a centre-based care and education setting.

We believe that every child is unique, inquisitive, incredibly capable and should be celebrated as competent and able to drive their own learning journey through exploration and experimentation. Each child should be seen as an individual, meaning each one requires different care and support through each stage of their learning journey.

The learning journey our tamariki travel is everything to us; we respect, celebrate and encourage their abilities, interests and their self worth as members of our centre whānau and the wider community. Co Star provides care and education that values, appreciates and respects each child, while focusing on enhancing and supporting tamariki across all areas of learning in an environment of love and nurturing. That is how our precious tamariki blossom and grow.

Co Star welcomes tamariki from 5 months to 5 years of age. We provide an educational programme that uses Te Whāriki (The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum) as it’s core and we are guided by the principles, strands and learning outcomes for tamariki that the document focuses on. Our programme celebrates and values the diverse cultures that make up our centre whānau and wider community.

Our qualified, professional kaiako provide a calm, nurturing environment in which they inspire and support tamariki on their learning journey, guiding and encouraging their exploration of the world around them. Our Kaiako are also lifelong learners, working alongside tamariki to further grow themselves and the holistic development of all children. Co Star understands and values the benefits for tamariki of learning through play, and we ensure our children are happy, stimulated and engaged while exploring and discovering the world around them. We also ensure tamariki are confident in themselves and the environment to further develop their creativity and express themselves.
